220014 Karl Marx und die sog. ursprüngliche Akkumulation (S) (WiSe 2018/2019)

Der vor genau 200 Jahren geborene Karl Marx veröffentlichte 1867 das 1. Band des ‚‚Kapitals‘‘. Das 24. Kapitel trägt die Überschrift: ‚‚Die sogenannte ursprüngliche Akkumulation‘‘ und behandelt die Entstehungsgeschichte des Kapitalismus. Im Seminar werden wir das 24. Kapitel lesen und ausführlich behandeln. Wie erklärt Marx die Genese des Kapitalismus? Können seine Ausführungen 150 Jahre nach der Erstveröffentlichung des ‚‚Kapitals‘‘ (Band I) den Forschungsergebnissen der Geschichtswissenschaften des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts standhalten? In den letzten 15 Jahren erfuhr der Ausdruck der ‚‚ursprünglichen Akkumulation‘‘ eine beachtliche Konjunktur. In Anlehnung an Rosa Luxemburgs Werk: ‚‚Die Akkumulation des Kapitals‘‘ (1913) vertreten heute Theoretiker wie David Harvey die Auffassung, dass Prozesse der ursprünglichen Akkumulation bis in die Gegenwart hineinreichen. Wir werden einige Schriften von Vertretern der These einer anhaltenden ursprünglichen Akkumulation unter die Lupe nehmen und der Frage nachgehen, ob die ursprüngliche Akkumulation einen geschichtlichen und/oder kontinuierlichen Prozess darstellt.
