Das Seminar richtet an sich an Studierende, die bereits erfolgreich am Seminar „Zahlen und Operationen in der Grundschule“ (oder „Didaktik der Arithmetik“) teilgenommen haben, jedoch (noch) nicht im Praxiskontext „Förderung und Prävention“ eine Förderung eines rechenschwachen Kindes übernommen haben.
