Das Fegefeuer ist ein zentrales Thema der Kulturgeschichte des Mittelalters.
Wir beschäftigen uns insbesondere mit Aufsätzen aus dem Sammelband von Guillaume Cuchet (Hg.), Le purgatoire. Fortune historique et historiographique d'un dogme, Paris 2012, greifen aber auch punktuell auf das grundlegende Werk von Jacques LeGoff, La naissance de purgatoire, Paris 1981 und die Arbeit von Jacques Chiffoleau, La comptabilité de l'au-delà. Les homme, la mort et la religion dans la région d'Avignon à la fin du moyen âge (vers 1320 - vers 1420), Rom 1980 zurück. Die Lektüre dieser Texte wird ergänzt durch das Lesen von französisch-sprachigen Lexikon- und Wikipedia-Artikeln und das Anhören von Vorträgen der genannten Autoren auf Youtube.Neben der inhaltlichen Erschließung dieser Texte, geht es in der Übung auch darum, die Erfahrung zu machen, dass die Lektüre französischsprachiger wissenschaftlicher Literatur zu bewältigen ist, auch wenn man damit bisher keine Erfahrung hat und der Französischunterricht vielleicht schon eine Weile zurückliegt.

Französischkenntnisse, die auf mindestens 3 Jahren Französischunterricht in der Schule beruhen (oder entsprechende Kenntnisse)
Studierende ab 50: Bis zu vier Studierende ab 50 sind in der Veranstaltung herzlich willkommen. Bitte melden Sie sich vorab per Email bei der Lehrenden.
