Die Studierenden kennen den histologischen Feinbau der Leber und kennen die funktionelle Grundeinheit der Leber. Die Unterschiede zwischen Zentralvenen- und Portalvenenläppchen können erklärt werden. Die verschiedenen Zelltypen innerhalb der Leber sind bekannt, deren Lage und Funktionen im Präparat können erklärt werden. Die Studierenden haben ein Verständis über die GLISSON-Trias, die Sinusoide und den DISSE-Raum.

Der histologische Aufbau der Gallenblase ist bekannt und kann im Präparat erklärt werden. Die Besonderheiten des Mukosa der Gallenblase (Aschoff-Rokitansky-Krypten) können beschrieben werden.
