This class is part of BA Basic Module 3 and will be taught in English. It will offer a survey of British literature beginning with Elizabethan drama (William Shakespeare's Hamlet), moving on to Romantic poetry (late 18th and early 19th centuries) and ending with a contemporary novel (Ian McEwan, Atonement; for details see below).
Students can get three credits points: one for a group essay-cum-interview and two for passing the end-of-term written exam.
Please note: this course can only be done together with my course Introduction to the Study of English Literature, course no 230207.
