In diesem Seminar werden verschiedene Themen rund um das Gehirn zusammengefasst. Es werden neurophysiologische Grundlagen vermittelt um komplexe Zusammenhänge verstehen zu können. Diese Erkenntnisse werden auf das Setting Schule und insbesondere den Sportunterricht übertragen. Es werden u.a. folgende Themen behandelt: Lernen auf der physiologischen Ebene, Entstehung von Bewegung auf neuronaler Ebene, Einfluss von Hormonen (Pubertät, Stress, Sport), Entwicklung und Plastizität des Gehirns (Kortikale Reorganisation bei Amputationen), Auswirkungen von Drogen/Doping, verschiedene Krankheitsbilder (z.B. ADHS, Autismus, Schädel-Hirn-Trauma, Diabetes Mellitus) und ihre Auswirkungen auf körperliche Aktivität, Einfluss von körperlicher Aktivität auf die kognitiven Funktionen.
