Das Feld des Rechtsextremismus ist breit gefächert und ist nicht einzuengen etwa auf die NPD. Menschenfeindliche Einstellungsmuster gehören ebenso dazu wie rechtspopulistische Gruppen, systemfeindliche Milieus, Unterstützungsnetzwerke wie auch rechtsterroristische Zellen. Insbesondere bewegungs- statt parteiförmige Strukturen gehören zu den Neuentwicklungen wie die "Autonomen Nationalisten".
Am Beispiel der Situation in der Stadt Dortmund sollen die Gefahren und Gegenbewegungen analysiert werden.
