360056 Religiöse Bewegungen in Lateinamerika (mit aktuellen Forschungsergebnissen) (S) (WiSe 2013/2014)

Im ehemals ‚katholischen Kontinent‘ hat in den letzten Jahrzehnten ein beispielloser religiöser Wandel stattgefunden. In einigen Ländern liegt der Anteil an evangelikaler und pfingstkirchlicher Bevölkerung zwischen einem Drittel und der Hälfte der Bevölkerung. Damit spielt nun eine Religiosität (in den USA geprägt) eine wichtige Rolle, die sich ebenfalls in anderen Kontinenten stark ausgebreitet hat. Außerdem gibt es in verschiedenen Ländern eine Revitalisierung der indigenen Religionen. Das verändert die Rolle der katholischen Kirche und hat Einfluss auf die Politik und das gesellschaftliche Lebens insgesamt. Derzeit läuft an der Universität Bielefeld ein Forschungsprojekt, in dem diese Bewegungen am Beispiel Nicaraguas und Guatemalas untersucht werden. Das Seminar ist im Sinne forschenden Lernens eng an dieses Projekt angekoppelt. Es wird entsprechendes Interesse und Engagement der Studierenden erwartet.
