Augmented Reality devices are versatile when it comes to present contextualized information, such as instructions or reminders. Providing relevant information during working tasks is also called performance assistance.
Within the project we want to implement an augmented reality assistance system for a specific task and domain. Target platforms will be either smartphone or tablets, or smart glasses. This depends on the specific use case. Currently, we are in contact with two partners who are interested in participating in the project, on from the Automotive domain and one from health care/elderly care.
Project Objectives
- Analyze a scenario regarding the potential for AR assistance
- Design and prototype an assistance system
- Implement the assistance system
- Evaluate the assistance system on the target group
