Die Untersuchung von beobachtbaren Handlungen ist in unterschiedlichen Teilbereichen der Psychologie und Kognitiven Neurowissenschaft verortet. In diesem Seminar soll der Schwerpunkt auf zielgerichteten Körperbewegungen liegen, die für zahlreiche Alltagshandlungen erforderlich sind - z.B. eine Augenbewegung zu einer informativen Umweltregion, das Greifen des Saftglasses oder die Navigation von der eigenen Wohnung zum Arbeitsort oder Schreiben eines Textes mit einem Keyboard. Wir werden in diesem Seminar Kerninhalte eines bereits älteren Lehrbuches - David Rosenbaum (2010) Human Motor Control (second edition!) - erarbeiten und sie kapitelweise mit ausgewählter neuerer Forschung vergleichen.

Das Seminar richtet sich an BSc Hauptfach-Studierende, die das Anwendungsfach „Neurowissenschaften“ gewählt haben. Grundlegende Kenntnisse in Allgemeiner Psychologie, Physiologischer Psychologie und Methodenlehre sowie der Besuch der Vorlesungen „Kognitive Neurowissenschaften I & II“ werden vorausgesetzt.
Bei der Seminarplatzvergabe um 30 Plätze werden Bewerbende bevorzugt, die das Anwendungsfach Kognitive Neurowissenschaft I & II bereits abgeschlossen haben.
