Das Seminar wird als begleitetes Selbststudium durchgeführt. Im LernraumPlus stehen Texte, PP-Präsentationen und dazugehörige Lernfragen für Sie zur Verfügung. Sie bilden zu Beginn Kleingruppen, mit denen Sie sich regelmäßig treffen, um die Lerninhalte zu vertiefen. Mit der Lehrenden besteht die Möglichkeit je Kleingruppe ein Zoom-Termin individuell zu vereinbaren. Mit Ihrer Kleingruppe halten Sie im Seminar (siehe Seminarplan) ein Referat als Studienleistung.

Soziale Sicherung bedeutet, dem Einzelnen in Notlagen, die aus eigener Kraft nicht mehr bewältigt werden können, zur Seite zu stehen - ob z.B. bei Krankheit, Unfall, Pflegebedürftigkeit, Arbeitslosigkeit oder Alter. Dies geschieht in Deutschland überwiegend unter dem Dach der Sozialgesetzbücher und in Zuständigkeit des Bundesamtes für Arbeit und Soziales. Beratungsangebote im Kontext der sozialen Sicherheit sind zum Teil staatlich organisiert, obliegen aber ebenso den Verbänden der freien Wohlfahrtspflege und freien Trägern. In diesem Seminar lernen Sie unterschiedliche Felder der sozialen Sicherheit, entsprechende Beratungsangebote und deren rechtliche Einbettung kennen.
