In this module, you have to attend History of the English Language PLUS two further lectures of your choice.
The oral exam (3 x 7 minutes) will take place in the last week of teaching (2 - 6 February 2026) and in the HowToEnglish week of SuSe 2026 (6 - 13 April).
Please send me an email at registration_ang_pm4@uni-bielefeld.de, telling me your chosen lectures and lecturers AND if you have other exams planned that week.' Planning might be a bit tricky, so please be flexible. 'You can register for the February exams between 19 and 26 January 2026.'''
The second exam cluster will be in the HowToEnglish week of the summer semester 2026(!). The registration window for this will be between # and # March 2026.

Requirements for participation, required level

You are urged to have completed BM3 / Basis3 (linguistics) before you embark on History of the English Language.
You should also have completed at least two of the three classes in Basis2: PM4/Profil2 is based on the knowledge and reading experience you gained in the basic modules!
