Unverzichtbare Grundlage für die Steuerung von Lernprozessen zur Aneignung des Zahlbegriffs und mathematischen Denkens, sind fundierte Kenntnisse des theoretischen Hintergrunds und Kompetenzen, selbstständig mathematisch zu arbeiten. In der Vorlesung Arithmetik und Algebra werden diese Kenntnisse und Kompetenzen vermittelt. Inhaltlich werden wir uns mit dem Aufbau des Zahlensystems, insbesondere mit den Eigenschaften natürlicher Zahlen beschäftigen, algebraische Strukturen kennenlernen, modulare Arithmetik und elementare Zahlentheorie sowie die Grundlagen des mathematischen Arbeitens (Grundbegriffe, Notationen, Beweise,...) behandeln. Darüber hinaus werden die Voraussetzungen geschaffen, in aufbauenden Veranstaltungen Einblick in die Vielfalt mathematischer Methoden und ihrer Anwendung zu erhalten.
