In this course students will learn how global supply chains operate, their importance in the global political economy, and the role that labour plays at each point. We will explore evolving power relations and labour rights violations throughout supply chains, as well as the creative responses from trade unions, activists, and governments in promoting and enforcing labour rights. The course is in English, and a mix of academic articles, media, and podcast materials will be used.
