Contents, comment

Im Zentrum des Seminars steht der gesellschaftliche Konflikt. Dabei geht es, im Gegensatz zum persönlichen Konflikt zwischen Personen, um Auseinandersetzungen zwischen gesellschaftlichen Gruppen, also beispielsweise ethnische oder religiöse Gruppen, aber auch Staaten und Staatenverbünde. Im ersten Teil des Seminars werden klassische und neuere Theorien und Konzepte zur Beschreibung und Erklärung von Konflikten besprochen. Darauf aufbauend analysieren und diskutieren wir in einem zweiten Teil des Seminars empirische Fallbeispiele des gesellschaftlichen Konflikts – etwa zwischen Gruppen und Staaten – im Lichte der besprochenen Theorien und Konzepte.
