230469 Reproduktionsmedizin und Regenbogenfamilien in der deutsch- und englischsprachigen Kinder- und Jugendliteratur (S) (SoSe 2024)

Die enge Beziehung zwischen Kinder- und Jugendliteratur und dem historischen Wandel von Familie und Kindheit ist in der KJL-Forschung Konsens. Kinder- und Jugendbücher, die Reproduktionsmedizin thematisieren, wie etwa „Sometimes it takes three to make a baby“ (über Eizellspende) der australischen Kinderbuchautorin Kate Bourne oder Petra Thorns „Die Geschichte unserer Familie“ zum Thema Samenspende bewegen sich dabei zwischen literarischer Fiktion und altersgerechtem Sach- bzw. Aufklärungsbuch. Das Seminar beleuchtet ausgewählte Beispiele in Bezug auf die kulturwissenschaftliche ‚Figur des Dritten‘ (A. Koschorke) und offenbart so ihre literaturanthropologische und wissenssoziologische Bedeutung für die Integration neuer, vervielfältigter Formen von Generativität und Verwandtschaft in die Lebenswelt der kommenden Generation(en). Nicht zuletzt erweist sich die KJL dabei einmal mehr als lohnenswerter Gegenstand ‚ernsthafter‘ literaturwissenschaftlicher Auseinandersetzung.
