Research-based education
The Faculty of Educational Science at Bielefeld University offers a sound education based on current research findings in the educational sciences. Students deal intensively with theories of education, socialisation and upbringing, which gives them a deep understanding of the theoretical foundations.

Practice-orientated modules
The degree programme includes practical elements such as the orientation internship and the occupational practice studies. These practical experiences promote the direct application of theoretical knowledge in school contexts and prepare students for the demands of the teaching profession.

Differentiation and inclusion
Students acquire important competences in the field of inclusive pedagogy and differentiation. This knowledge is crucial in order to respond to the different needs of pupils and create an inclusive learning environment.

Individual profile development
The degree programme allows students to create an individual profile by choosing modules. Students can deepen their interests in various areas of educational sciences, be it special education, didactics or educational psychology.

Future-orientated qualification
The programme not only prepares students for the teaching profession at schools, but also opens up prospects in other pedagogical professional fields. This versatility of the qualification meets the requirements of the modern education market and promotes professional flexibility.
