Competencies

In the context of a real event, you will deal with the problems of planning, implementing and evaluating the event so that, on completion of the module, you will be able to conceptualise events, work under time pressure, communicate with consultants and evaluate the overall process of event organisation. You will expand the basic knowledge acquired in module 61-PW-SM with practical professional skills in sports and event management.

You will demonstrate the acquisition of these competences by reflecting on the overall process in a portfolio.

Content of teaching

In this module, you will deal with practical issues relating to the conception, preparation, realisation and control of a real (sports) event, addressing aspects of marketing and sponsorship, financial and scheduling planning, logistics and the legal framework.

Recommended previous knowledge

Successful completion of the course "Fundamentals of Sports Economics" of module 61-PW-GL2 and the course "Event Management" of module 61-PW-SM is strongly recommended.
