Module 61-HRSGe_GymGe-VRPS_a Preparation and Reflection of the Teaching Experience Semester ("Praxissemester")

In this module, you will first improve your knowledge and your ability to analyse and critically reflect on teaching-related and sports pedagogical issues, i.e. before the Teaching Experience Semester. You will develop the competence to select and apply didactic teaching models for teaching movement, play and sport in inclusive settings as well as previously taught research methods in a problem-appropriate manner. They develop this knowledge and skills with the direct intention of finding different topics and questions for research-based learning in the Teaching Experience Semester. They broaden and deepen their knowledge of teaching processes in this regard and develop specific inclusion-sensitive and digitally supported teaching projects or theoretically based research outlines in writing.

After completing the Teaching Experience Semester, you will expand your skills, especially in the area of describing, analysing and critically reflecting on teaching and extracurricular educational processes in schools. You will also be able to apply your findings from the critical analysis of teaching processes in the planning of new teaching situations.

The seminar "Preparation for the Teaching Experience Semester" deals with structural characteristics and variables of physical education as well as its possible pedagogical effects based on selected theories and fields of action. Individual topics for teaching projects and questions for research-based learning are discussed and theoretically reflected upon as part of the study projects in the Teaching Experience Semester. From the overarching perspective of inclusive and digitally supported physical education, the content of this course includes, for example, questions of differentiation and individualisation, the promotion of low-achieving students and integration in and through physical education, as well as reflective coeducation, social learning, performance education and assessment, intercultural learning, forms of extracurricular school sport and sport-related school development. Based on these thematic focuses, the course prepares students specifically for the implementation and reflection of both teaching plans and study projects.

As part of the course "Reflection on the Teaching Experience Semester", observations and experiences from the Teaching Experience Semester specific to the profession are examined and - with a view to the upcoming traineeship - discussed and reflected upon.
