Competencies

In the Sports Science courses, students acquire knowledge of the subject matter, issues, methods and tasks of Sports Education, Sports Sociology, Sports Economics and Sports Medicine as sciences. They acquire a broad and integrated knowledge and a differentiated understanding of the scientific foundations of various related theories and can critically analyse the various theories for the justification and selection of goals and content of Sports Science processes.

Furthermore, in the course of the seminar work, you will be able to understand and use knowledge on core issues of Sports Science discourses and reflect on them in the justification of your own actions and transfer and assess them to future professional fields in various areas of Sports Science.

In the context of the seminar paper and in the course of preparing for the module examination, you will also consolidate your communicative skills while paying greater attention to scientific standards. You will demonstrate the acquisition of these competences by demonstrating your knowledge and understanding of the issues dealt with in an oral presentation and its written elaboration or in an oral examination or in a written examination (depending on the lecturer's offer).
