Competencies

You will deepen your knowledge of various forms of sports psychology training and sports psychology counselling. You will expand your knowledge of cognitive science theories of movement control and acquire methodological skills in dealing with various experimental paradigms and approaches to the evaluation and diagnosis of sport psychology or movement science intervention measures.

Content of teaching

In this module, students must select courses from the above-mentioned areas according to their own interests. This includes topics from the field of movement learning and the use of training and analysis methods that can optimise technique training or movement learning: e.g. forms of mental coaching that play an important role in the context of motor learning in competitive sport. Fundamental theoretical questions are developed and analysed against the background of selected empirical findings. In addition, functional aspects of movement organisation and the various methods for analysing mental movement representations based on this are discussed. The acquired knowledge is applied and reflected on using the example of learning complex movements.

Recommended previous knowledge

Knowledge of the contents of the course "Fundamentals of Exercise Science and Sports Psychology" is recommended.
