Die Masterarbeit soll zeigen, dass die Studierenden in der Lage sind, innerhalb einer vorgegebenen Frist ein quantitativ wirtschaftswissenschaftliches Problem selbstständig nach wissenschaftlichen Grundsätzen zu bearbeiten und unter Verwendung professioneller Textverarbeitung (z. B. LaTEX) angemessen schriftlich darzustellen.
The aim of the Master's thesis is to show that students are able to work independently within a specified period on a quantitative problem in economics according to scientific principles using adequate professional word processing (eg latex).

Die Masterarbeit ist eine schriftliche Ausarbeitung und wird von zwei prüfungsberechtigten Personen abgenommen. Die Anmeldung der Arbeit erfolgt im Prüfungsamt der Fakultät für Wirtschaftswissenschaften der Universität Bielefeld.
Die Masterarbeit soll in der Regel nicht mehr als 60 Seiten umfassen. Die Bearbeitungszeit der Masterarbeit beträgt 6 Monate. Der Ausgabezeitpunkt ist aktenkundig zu machen. Die Arbeit ist in dreifacher Ausfertigung fristgerecht beim Prüfungsamt der Fakultät für Wirtschaftswissenschaften abzugeben.

The Master's thesis is a written report and evaluated by two persons authorized for this task. The registration for the Master's thesis takes place at the examination office of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at Bielefeld University. The Master's thesis should normally include no more than 60 pages. The Master's thesis has to be completed within 6 months after the issue date (to be documented explicitly). The thesis is to be submitted in triplicate form before the 6 months deadline to the examination office of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at Bielefeld University.
