FsB vom 18.03.2026, gültig ab Wintersemester 2026/27
The MA in Educational Science offers an academically rigorous and practice-oriented advanced study of pedagogical questions. Throughout the programme, key issues in educational science are central, in particular the analysis and reflection of educational processes in the context of societal relations of difference and crises.
A core feature of the degree is individual profile development. Students combine two focus areas from a broad range of options (counselling, adult and continuing education, inclusive education, childhood and youth research, social work, media education), thereby setting their own academic emphases. In addition, a substantial professionalisation project provides scope for independent research- and/or practice-oriented in-depth study.
The programme strengthens theoretical reflection, methodological competences and professional practice. Graduates are thus equally qualified for roles in pedagogical practice as well as in social-scientific research.
