A degree in literature is aimed at anyone who enjoys reading, writing and discussing. The aim is to continuously develop your own language and reflection skills - skills that are in demand in various professional contexts. Potential fields of activity include: Public relations, cultural marketing, libraries and publishing, journalism, the literary scene, the media landscape, advertising, foundations, archives, adult education, research institutions, personnel and science management, coaching. In Bielefeld, we place particular emphasis on the international dimension of literary studies. In addition to German-language literature, the focus is primarily on English, Spanish, French and Latin literature. Regular excursions, also abroad, enrich your studies and offer you the opportunity to gain and deepen cultural experience.
Particularly attractive is the possibility of a double degree in the Master's degree programme, in which you study both at Bielefeld University and at the renowned La Sapienza University in Rome.
