Current research topics

The Experimental Pragmatics group in Bielefeld investigates the processing of linguistic meaning using psycholinguistic methods. Our current research topics include:

  • Incremental semantic and pragmatic interpretation
  • Semantic and pragmatic expectations in discourse
  • Implicit causality
  • Interpretation of quantifying expressions
  • Event interpretation in language
  • Resolution of compositional conflicts in coercion
