In der Linearen Algebra II setzen wir unsere Untersuchung linearer Abbildungen fort. Einen Schwerpunkt dabei werden die sog. Endomorphismen bilden, dies sind lineare Abbildungen eines Vektorraum in sich selbst. Wir werden versuchen zu verstehen, welche verschiedene Typen solcher Abbildungen es gibt. Dabei werden die Begriffe Eigenwert und Eigenvektor eine zentrale Rolle spielen.
Zum anderen werden wir Vektorräume mit Skalarprodukten, die euklidischen und unitären Vektorräume, betrachten, aber auch allgemeinere Bilinearformen. Dadurch werden geometrische Begriffe Winkel, Länge und Orthogonalität eingeführt. Wir werden diese Begriffe und die Eigenschaften von damit in Verbindung stehenden linearen Abbildungen untersuchen.
