Beratung in Bildungs- und beruflichen Übergängen und Entscheidungen sowie zur Bewältigung von Lernen und Arbeiten ist ein wesentliches Berufsfeld für Erziehungswissenschaftler*innen, ob in behördlichen Kontexten, in öffentlichen Programmen für Jugendliche und Erwachsene oder gewerblich z.B. als Coaching. Das Seminar setzt sich mit konventionellen und neueren (internationalen) Konzepten von Beratung in Bildung und Beruf / Career Counselling, mit Institutionalisierungsformen und deren konkreter Präsenz- und digitalen Beratungspraxis auseinander, auch mit Blick auf Geschlechterverhältnisse und soziale Ungleichheit von Adressat*innen. Beratungsübungen zu ausgewählten Konzepten und deren Reflexion sind ebenso Teil des Seminars.
