Ziel des Praktikums ist es durch mehrere Stunden individuellen täglichen Trainings am SimNow 2 Simulator der DaVinci-OP-Roboter Konsole grundlegende technische Fähigkeiten der robotischen Chirurgie zu Erwerben. Die Fortschritte werden über individuelle Login-Daten der Firma Intuitive Surgical dokumentiert und können im Verlauf der Karriere als Nachweis der Fähigkeiten weiter verwendet werden. Konsole und Simulator stehen exklusiv für die Lehre bereits. Begleitet wird das Praktikum von Case-Observations von Live-Operationen.
