This seminar provides a conceptual overview of the various approaches and debates associated with the theory and practice of qualitative research. In the first part of the course, qualitative research is introduced across a range of topics, ranging from research perspectives, methods of data collection and analysis to the criteria used to assess the quality of research. Throughout the course, theoretical concepts will be applied to real world situations through small practical exercises.
