Gegenstand dieses Seminars ist Karl E. Weicks Monografie „Der Prozeß des Organisierens“. Gegenüber klassischen Organisationstheorien, zeichnet sich Weicks Werk weniger durch einen Blick auf die strukturellen Gegebenheiten von Organisationen aus, sondern stellt in erster Linie das Selbstverständnis und „sense making“ von Organisationen (und deren Umwelt) in den Vordergrund. Somit fokussiert sich Weick auf ineinandergreifende Verhaltensweisen von Organisationsmitgliedern aus deren Interaktion(en) Prozesse des Organisierens resultieren, deren grundlegende Dynamik Deutungsrahmen für das Handeln der Organisation(-smitglieder) bereitstellt und den Sinn erfolgter Handlungen retrospektiv zuschreibbar macht. Die Monografie ist zugleich die obligatorische Seminarlektüre, welche im Semesterverlauf be- und erarbeitet wird.
