In der Vorlesung werden theoretische Grundlagen behandelt, wie Architekturen für parallele und verteilte Systeme, Programmiermodelle für parallele, gemeinsame und verteilte Systeme und Netwerktopologien. Die konkrete Umsetzung wird anhand von parallelen Methoden für Löser von linearen Gleichungssystemen geschildert.
In den Übungen wird komplementär dazu die praktische Umsetzung gezeigt.
