230589 Utopia and Dystopia in Film (StGr) (SoSe 2015)

Contents, comment

Have you ever wondered about the terms “utopia“ and „dystopia“? This study group will deal with these topics within a fictional environment. Together we will analyze film and other types of media in accordance to their respective historical backgrounds. We will explore modern day motion pictures, as well as older classics in order to understand the particular worldviews that are inherited and linked to these fictional works. Are there particular events in human history that shaped and inspired these visions?
Based on our findings, we will produce our own fictional piece of work and try to capture the spirit of our time.

N. B.: This class is a student-led study group. It is designed to contribute to your BA module "Internationalisation-at-home". In addition to registering here in the ekvv, please also send an email to Dimitri Nesterenko: dimitri.n@me.com
