Als Daniel Pennac 1994 die zehn unantastbaren Rechte des Lesers formulierte, lag die theoretische Hinwendung zum Lesen bereits 20 Jahre zurück. Doch die Beschäftigung mit den Prozessen der Entzifferung, der Rezeption und Wahrnehmung bildet bis heute einen Randbereich der Literaturwissenschaft.
Lesen bedeutet phantasieren, imaginieren, eintauchen, erspüren, aber auch entziffern, verstehen, denken. Gelesen wird am Abend und am Morgen, in Ruhe und im Vorbeigehen, zur Entspannung und zur Inspiration, im Buch, in der Zeitung, am Computer und im Handy. Gesichter lassen sich lesen, Landschaften, Texte, Bilder, Noten.
Welche Kulturtechniken des Lesens gibt es? Welche Rolle spielt das Lesen in einschlägigen Theorien von Roland Barthes, Wolfgang Iser, Hans Robert Jauß, Norman N. Holland, Erika Fischer-Lichte und Sandro Zanetti? Und welche Funktionen hat die Vorstellungskraft beim Lesen?
Wir erstellen Erinnerungsprotokolle von Leseereignissen und beschäftigen uns mit Äußerungen über das Lesen von Lessing, Novalis, Friedrich Schlegel, Goethe und vielen weiteren.
