Die Anthologie "Menschheitsdämmerung" aus dem Jahr 1919 ist eine der bekanntesten und erfolgreichsten deutschsprachigen Gedichtsammlungen. Herausgeber Kurt Pinthus versammelte darin Texte von 22 Autoren und einer Autorin, die für ihn in der Gattung der Lyrik eine Strömung repräsentierten, für die Kurt Hiller acht Jahre zuvor den Begriff "Expressionismus" prägte.
Wir wollen uns ausgiebig den Texten des Bandes widmen, aber auch über den "Tellerrand" des Buchdeckels hinaus einen Blick in die expressionistische Lyrik/Literatur werfen. Uns werden auf sprachlicher Ebene Phänomene wie Zeilenstil, Anthropomorphisierung, Synästhesie, Enjambement, Groteske ... interessieren, thematisch werden wir uns mit Krankheit, Krieg, Großstadt, Industrialisierung, sozialer Kälte ... auseinanderzusetzen haben.Inklusive Porto sollte eine antiquarische Ausgabe ab 4 Euro erhältlich sein.
