220079 Res Gestae Divi Augusti (Ü+S) (WiSe 2014/2015)

Der sogenannte Tatenbericht des Augustus, die res gestae Divi Augusti, ist ein zentrales Dokument zum Herrschaftsverständnis des ersten römischen Kaisers. Er wurde von ihm selbst verfasst und nach seinem Tode am Mausoleum auf dem Marsfeld und in den Hauptorten der Provinzen publiziert. In der Übung wird dieser inschriftlich erhaltene Text im lateinischen Original gelesen und durch weitere kürzere Texte zur ‚Ideologie‘ des augusteischen Prinzipats ergänzt.
