Inhalt dieser Veranstaltung ist Klassenkörpertheorie.

Die Klassenkörpertheorie ist ein wichtiger Zweig der algebraischen Zahlentheorie, der sich mit der Untersuchung abelscher Erweiterungen algebraischer Zahlkörper beschäftigt. Grob gesagt geht es darum, solche Erweiterungen eines Zahlkörpers K aus den arithmetischen Eigenschaften von K zu beschreiben. Hierfür werden zunächst die technischen Hilfsmittel erarbeitet; insbeondere behandeln wir Kohomologietheorie endlicher Gruppen.

Es werden grundlegende Kenntnisse in algebraischer Zahlentheorie vorausgesetzt (Algebraische Zahlentheorie I).
