The goal of this course is to demonstrate general principles of construction of environmental-economic models. Examples of implementing environmental modules both to neoclassical theory of 1970-s and modern new growth theory are discussed. The evolution of environmental modelling and especially of modelling climate change in Economics is the main emphasis of this course. Main policy regulators and their efficiency are also considered as part of the formal analysis.
There are no some special prerequisites for this course, but prior familiarity with economic growth theory and mathematical optimization methods, like optimal control and calculus of variations would ease the understandig of the material.
