In this student-led study group, we will select and analyse children’s books and stories, both traditional and contemporary, in which the theme of alterity is dominant. Together, we will consider how these provide psychological, affective, cultural and social resources (Brewster, Ellis & Girard, 2002), not only in the EFL classroom. As this is a student-led study group, the participants’ own ideas, resources, input and books are needed and welcome.

In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
