In diesem Seminar sollen schon erworbene Grundlagen des Semantic Web praktisch angewendet werden.
Die Hauptaufgabe besteht im Skalieren eines bestehenden Fragebeantwortungssystems, so dass es in der Lage ist, eine Teilmenge von DBpedia abzudecken. Das System parst und interpretiert natürlichsprachliche Fragen in Bezug auf ein Lexikonmodell, das spezifiziert, wie die Konzepte einer zugrundeliegenden Ontologie sprachlich realisiert werden. Das Ergebnis sind semantische
Repräsentationen, die in eine geeignete Anfragesprache übersetzt werden können.
Die Portierung dieses Systems auf eine große Datenmenge umfasst u.a. folgende Aufgaben:- Aufsetzen eines RDF-Repositorys für einen Teil von DBpedia
- Anpassen des Fragebeantwortungssystems an diese DBpedia-Teilmenge
- Umwandlung der erzeugten semantischen Repräsentationen in SPARQL-Anfragen
- Visualisieren der Anfrageergebnisse mit Hilfe der zugrundeliegenden Ontologie
Ziel ist es, diese Einzelaufgaben im Laufe des Semesters zu bearbeiten und schließlich in das Gesamtsystem zu integrieren.
Requirements for participation, required level

Vorkenntnisse in den Semantic-Web-Sprachen RDF(S) und OWL sowie der Anfragesprache SPARQL sind wünschenswert. Eine Teilnahme an "Einführung in das Semantic Web" im letzten Semester wird aber nicht vorausgesetzt.
Grundkenntnisse in Java sind erforderlich.
Das Seminar wird auf Englisch gehalten.
