- Short Description (will be used as commentary "=Kommentar" with the ekVV project entry)
(Motivation / Goal / Used Methods, few lines)
Virtual reality (VR) has been widely used in the entertainment domain, where it was usually controlled by eye-tracking or remote controls. Recently VR becomes relevant in other domains like arm rehabilitation after stroke. Hence the interest in interacting with the VR by touch grows strongly.
The task during the ISY project is to develop a VR serious game-like scenario, in which humans can interact haptically with the environment.
The scenario will be created using the game engine Unity and the latest version of the exoskeleton Dexmo [1,2], which can simulate a virtual reality with force feedback. Required skils (e.g. mandatory courses, if required)
Good to have: programming knowledge in C#, knowledge about Unity/ROS
