Das Seminar nimmt die aktuellen Entwicklungen der Universitäten sowohl in globaler Steuerungs-, Privatisierungs- und Ökonomisierungsperspektiven in den Blick. Dabei werden verschiedene Interessenkonstellationen auf der Basis globaler Muster und Tendenzen analysiert und in ihren bildungs- und sozialisationstheoetischen erörtert. Dazu werden u. a. Ansätze zur "Weltkultur", "Human Kapital", Privatisierung (Stichwort: PublicPrivatePartnerships und Private Authorities) diskutiert und der "Mythos Neoliberalismus" einer ernsthaften Analyse zugeführt. Aktive Teilnahme durch Kurz-/Impulsreferate, EL und LNs durch Vorstellung eigener Projekte in der Abschlusssitzung und Verschriftlichung.
Ein Semesterapparat und ein Stud.Ip-Angebot werden eingerichtet und eine Literaturliste verteilt.
