392261 ISY Project: Content-aware human presence detection on embedded hardware accelerators (Pj) (SoSe 2019)

Content-aware human presence detection is an important research area in the assisted living context. In this project, a human presence detection system based on an embedded system shall be designed and implemented using hardware accelerators for neural networks. The system should recognize human poses (e.g. standing, sitting, lying) from different angles. The designed system shall be evaluated and compared with commercial solutions.

Please note that the teams will be selected by the supervisors on the basis of short applications that students are expected to send to them. Registering to the project in the ekVV will only be regarded as expression of interest; it will not secure a team membership. Please get in touch with the supervisors for information on the application procedure.
