Ciceros Rede über den Oberbefehl des Pompeius im Krieg gegen Mithridates von Pontos und Tigranes von Armenien gehört zu den berühmtesten Beispielen politischer Rhetorik der späten Republik. Sie gibt nicht nur Einblick in eine außenpolitisch dramatische Phase, sondern entwirft auch ein klassisches Feldherrnideal von nachhaltiger Wirkung. Die Textpartien werden gemeinsam und jeweils verteilt an die StudentInnen übersetzt.
