Fundamentalistischer Terror in Indonesien, Malaysia und Philippinen und der Konflikt um Inseln zwischen China, Japan und Korea. Wie begegnen Lehrpläne und Schulbücher den tradierten Sichtweisen der Schulkinder in diesen Ländern? Umgekehrt, wie werden deutsche Schulkinder auf ein friedliches Miteinander unterschiedlicher Kulturen in Deutschlands Schulen vorbereitet?

Studierenden der Universität Bielefeld untersuchen gemeinsam mit Studierenden aus Manila, Peking, Saigon, Seoul und Surabaya exemplarisch asiatische Lehrpläne und Schulbücher. Der Austausch findet über verschiedene Social-Media statt.

Studierende und Lehrende lernen und arbeiten mit der Methodik der Cultural Studies und der Hegemonietheorie. Der Lehrende, Johannes Tschapka, arbeitete und lebte selbst 7 Jahre in Fernost Asien.

Basis Kenntnisse in Englischer Sprache zur Kommunikation mit Studierenden aus Fernost Asien.
