Die Entwicklung nationaler Bildungsstandards auf der Basis von Kompetenzmodellen ist ein zentrales Element aktueller bildungspolitischer Steuerung und ein Thema für die Bildungsforschung. Im Seminar beschäftigen wir uns mit der Expertise des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung, (sog. Klieme-Gutachten, s.u.). Darüber hinaus werden wir die Sicht von Verbänden zur Standardentwicklung und die Weiterentwicklung der einheitlichen Prüfungsanforderungen (EPA) im Abitur besprechen. Weitere Themen sind Kerncurriculum (insbesondere Oberstufe), didaktische Veränderungen durch das zentrale Abschlussprüfungen und die Frage nach der Veränderung der Schulstruktur. Es soll die Frage untersucht werden, ob die dargelegten Kompetenzen und Standards zu der gewünschten Individualisierung von Unterrichtsprozessen beitragen können.
