Was passiert wenn Menschen Reisen? Wie und wodurch verändert sich im Reisen das Selbstverhältnis? Wie verändert sich durch das Reisen das Verhältnis zur Welt und zu den Dingen? Diesen und ähnlichen bildungstheoretischen Fragen werden wir im Seminar nachgehen. Wichtig ist es hierbei, unterschiedliche Formen, Anlässe, Formate des Reisens zu unterscheiden, seine sozio-kulturelle Bedeutungen in den Blick zu nehmen, die zeit-, milieu- und habitusspezifisch sein mögen.
Das Seminar wird neben Literaturrezeption und -diskussion einen weiteren Zugang zum Thema ermöglichen der "Reiseerkundungen" genannt werden könnte. Hierbei geht es zum einen um Reflexionen eigener Reiseerfahrung, aber auch um die Erkundung von Reiseerfahrungen anderer.
