Die Klassiker der Gruppentheorie Lewin, Moreno, Foulkes, etc. haben der Gruppe nicht nur psychohygienische, sondern stets und nachhaltige Sozialisationsfunktionen zugesprochen. Zwischen Anpassung (Gruppendruck) und Selbstwachstum (feedback, Spiegelreaktion) bewegen sich Erziehungs- und Sozialisationsprozesse in Gruppen und Großgruppen. Die VA fokussiert Geschichte und Theorie der Gruppe, Gruppendynamik, Gruppenanalyse und Gruppenarbeit unter pädagogischen Gesichtspunkten.
