Das Seminar wird sich mit unterschiedlichen feministischen Theorien und Intersektionalitätsansätzen beschäftigen. Intersektionalität ist eine Perspektive auf soziale Ungleichheit, die sich mit den Verschänkungen verschiedener Achsen der Ungleichheit befasst und aus feministischen Kontexten heraus entwickelt wurde. Die klassische Trias dieser Achsen der Ungleichheit umfasst in der Regel "Race, class und gender". Das Zusammenspiel von sozialer Klasse, Geschlecht und Migrationshintergrund wird mit unterschiedlichen gesellschaftstheoretischen und feministischen Ansätzen untersucht.
Die Beschäftigung mit den theoretischen Grundlagen insersektionaler, sozialer Ungleichheit ist in diesem Seminar Ausgangspunkt für eine Auseinandersetzung mit Fragen, die gegenwärtig für pädagogische Handlungsfelder zentral sind: Sind Jungen die neuen Bildungsverlierer? Braucht es mehr Männer in den Kitas? Ist Feminismus für Bildungs- und Erziehungskontexte noch relevant? Und was hat Feminismus überhaupt mit Pädagogik zu tun?
