Dieses Seminar gibt einen Überblick über das persischsprachige Südasien und die Verflechtungsgeschichte Indiens und Irans zwischen 1500 und 1800. Wie und warum kam es zu diesen transregionalen Austauschprozessen? Wer migrierte von Persien nach Indien und umgekehrt? Der indo-persische Raum dient dabei als Untersuchungsgegenstand, um die unterschiedlichen Methoden der transregionalen und globalen Geschichtsschreibung wie Vergleichs- und Verflechtungsgeschichte kennenzulernen und zu erörtern.
