230243 Betreuungsseminar für die Berufsfeldbezogene Praxisstudie (BPSt) im Fach Anglistik, GS/ISP (S): "Individuelle Förderung im Kontext der Corona-Krise (Grundschule/ISP)" (BPS) (SoSe 2021)

Contents, comment

Important Note: This is a seminar for students of primary school / ISP

The Corona crisis has literally turned the educational sector upside-down and confronted everyone involved with tremendous challenges. Especially for those students with little access to digital infrastructure and/or little support from their parents, learning difficulties will have increased and knowledge gaps multiplied. The subject "English" can be seen as a special case here, as it is especially difficult to teach functional communicative competences in a homeschooling setup.

In this seminar, then, students will provide individual support where it is needed most at the moment: In close cooperation with primary schools in Bielefeld and surroundings, they will diagnose needs of small learner groups and provide individual support aimed at decreasing the achievement gap created by the Corona crisis. Depending on the development of the pandemic, this will either happen in presence teaching at the respective school, or fully/partly in a digital way.

This seminar is based on a school cooperation with the Diestergwegschule. The support/challenge classes are part of the extracurricular activities offered at that school and take place Monday-Thursday 15.00-15.45. Students taking this seminar should be prepared to teach (together with some fellows) on one, maximum two of these days each in the respective time slot.

Disclaimer: All dates and times may be subject to change due to new schedules at Diesterwegschule issued in February. Please check this ekvv entry for changes that may occur in February 2021.

Important note: Please make sure that university e-mails are forwarded properly to your individual e-mail account (if you don't use the university e-mail anyways) and check your e-mails regularly. You will receive important updates from us via e-mail.)
